New garage door installation in Vail and Tucson typically runs $1,999 to $13,299 depending on door size, construction type, and style. Classic Steel non-insulated doors start at $1,999 installed. Gallery Steel carriage house doors in R-18.4 Intellicore run up to $13,299. Canyon Ridge wood-look doors are custom-quoted. Call (520) 395-7721 for a free estimate — no obligation.
A non-insulated door is a single steel layer — affordable and functional for detached garages. An insulated door adds a polystyrene foam layer (R-6.5) for better temperature control. An insulated steel-backed door adds a third steel layer on the inside with polyurethane foam (R-18.4), making it the quietest, most dent-resistant, and most energy-efficient option — the best choice for an attached garage in Arizona’s heat.
R-value measures thermal resistance — how well the door slows heat transfer. The higher the number, the better the insulation. In Arizona’s extreme summer heat, a higher R-value keeps the garage measurably cooler and reduces the load on your home’s air conditioning. Clopay’s Intellicore® polyurethane insulation delivers R-18.4, the highest available in standard residential steel doors.
Yes. We supply and install Clopay garage doors including the Classic Steel, Gallery Steel, and Canyon Ridge collections. Clopay is America’s largest garage door manufacturer. We handle the door, the hardware, the installation, old door removal, and a full system test — one call covers everything.
Most standard garage door installations take 4 to 6 hours. Jobs that include a new opener installation or non-standard openings can take a full day. We arrive on time, protect your driveway and floor, and leave the job site clean when we’re done. Same-day installation is available for in-stock door sizes — call us to confirm availability.
Yes. Old door removal and disposal is included with every installation we do. We remove the old door, inspect the opening and framing for any issues, and install the new door from the ground up. There are no hidden fees — the quote we give you before the job starts is the price you pay.
Yes. The Clopay Gallery Steel collection gives you a grooved carriage house panel in insulated steel starting around $9,999 installed. The Canyon Ridge collection goes further with an Ultra-Grain composite overlay molded from real wood — the texture and grain are virtually indistinguishable from a real wood door, with none of the maintenance cost.
Single-car garages typically use 8×7 or 9×7 doors. Double-car garages typically use 16×7 doors. Eight-foot heights are standard in newer construction, but older homes often have 7-foot openings. We measure your exact opening during the free estimate to confirm the right size. Non-standard openings can be accommodated with custom sizing through Clopay.
